Autorenporträt
From the bases of Egyptian pyramids to the summits of Himalayan peaks, Mukesh Sahu has continually strived through his world travels to secure unique vantages and perspectives. This has aided him immensely in his creative pursuits, including this latest work. He wrote "Nursery Rhymes For Trumpian Times" primarily to draw attention to the unprecedented events/crises unfolding across the nation and the world. But as the father of two young children who love to end each day with story time, he also wished to replace the forgotten, oftentimes incomprehensible references contained in those classics with adaptations more accessible to today's audience. In addition to being a globetrotter and father, Mukesh is also a physician, a cappella singer/composer, environmentalist, and ardent supporter of progressive causes. In keeping with his commitment to the latter, he has pledged to contribute 20% of net proceeds of the sale of this book to several environmental/humanitarian organizations as well as the campaign of the eventual Democratic Presidential nominee. These include: Doctors Without Borders (MSF) Equality Now GLAAD International Rescue Committee (IRC) Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) The Nature Conservancy Readers are invited to identify in the review section which organizations they would like to see their portion of the funds directed toward (hopefully along with an honest review). Alternatively they are welcome to send a message to samsarapublications@gmail.com after their purchase to indicate their preference.
