Annie Cheng is a Filipino-Chinese immigrant from the Philippines. Born to a Chinese-Filipino father and a Filipina mother. She is a mother, a wife, a recent nurse graduate, and a meningitis survivor. Her purpose for this book is to increase Filipino representation in print media and to celebrate the Filipino nursing community. She is a meningitis survivor and is passionate about building awareness about the disease. She hopes that by building awareness about the signs and symptoms of meningitis, that it may help others to recognize the disease early on.
