This numerical study is an attempt made to study the effect of fish oil methyl ester (FOME) on the performance and emission characteristics of an CI engine. In this current work, three blends of FOME are taken for study and are FOME B10, FOME B20 and FOME B30 respectively. Experiments were performed at various loads from 0 to 100 % load at constant speed of 1500 rpm and also the simulation results were generated for the same operating conditions. FOME B20 biodiesel blend exhibited better performance and emission characteristics than the other blends FOME B10 and FOME B30 respectively. Also it…mehr

Also it is observed that the data generated from the simulation of biodiesel blends is almost the same as the experimental values for the same engine specifications, fuel blends and other operating parameters.
