Dr. Paula Bromberg is a psychologist, teacher, para-rabbi, and writer, dedicated and inspired by a personal journey that brought her to many paths, teachers, spiritual communities and methods. The Way of the Lover draws on direct experience-her professional encounters of over 50 years. It is written with the authority that comes from decades of study and teaching. Traveling and receiving initiation into Eastern and Western lineages: Sufi, Buddhist, Jewish Renewal, Gurdjieffian, East Indian: learning within living traditions transcending formal boundaries to teach from those places; to kindle that fire in the heart of others. The author has a Doctorate in Philosophy in Clinical Psychology, maintains a telephone practice as counselor and spiritual teacher. Her creation, The Fifth Way, The Way of the Lover, A Way of Understanding, is the foundation of her work. The living interconnectedness makes up the real world and all traditions are part of this-and the creative force is Love. She has developed and created a psychological/spiritual system during her fifty years of working with people. To discover and study our essential nature, to experience the meaning and purpose of our life awakens us through concrete teachings that transform us to live our life mindfully, with presence.
