I'M NOT WHO I USED TO BE! Have you ever felt lonely? Have you ever felt unloved? Have you ever felt hopeless and lacked the will to move forward? I know how you feel. I was there growing up. I was there as a wife, as a mother, as a grown-up daughter, as a friend, even just as a churchgoer, but God set me free from decades of cultural and familial chains and bondages and transformed me from a hopeless pessimist to a joyful optimist! Without the non-stop love of God, which persisted even when I didn't feel it, I could never have become the person I am today. In this book, you will see the source of overflowing joy that I found: Jesus Christ! A Korean-American immigrant's personal story of freedom, from cultural shame to everlasting joy in Christ. "Michelle shares a captivating account of her journey to overcome years of abuse in a close family relationship in a culture of shame. She will undoubtedly encourage many women with her story to find a way to not just survive but thrive in abusive relationships. She honestly recounts her struggles in learning the heart of Jesus to find a forgiveness that would ultimately lead to her being set free." -Lloyd Pulley, Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, NJ "Michelle has made herself completely and apologetically vulnerable here in shining a light into her many personal struggles in order to reveal God's persistent, glorious love and power in shattering chains and bondage en route to transforming her into who she is today." -Rev. Steve Schuessler, Lead Pastor of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, NJ
