Alison Monk has lived and taught on three continents and in four countries. While teaching in Africa, her experiences opened her eyes to the different lives of children. Her entire career has been focused on children, which has given her a storehouse full of precious memories to inspire her writing career. She currently lives with her husband in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
