The symptoms of atopic dermatitis are intense itching, erythema , and sensitivity of the skin that usually becomes worse at night and can disrupt sleep. The exact pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis is unknown. Currently, it is believed that IGE- mediated reactions and cellular responses contribute to the chronic inflammation of this disorder.
