NANCY E. HALL, MDiv, DMin, describes herself as a pastor, professor, and church musician. An ordained minister in the American Baptist Churches USA, she is currently Associate Professor of Ministry and Congregational Music and Director of Contextual Education at American Baptist Seminary of the West in Berkeley, California, as well as serving as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Berkeley. Dr. Hall writes and teaches extensively about liturgy in its broadest sense as "the work of the people." Among the courses she has taught are Planning Congregational Music; Leading Music for Worship; Worship in Free Church Traditions; and Conversations about Worship. Rev. Dr. Hall worked closely with the late John Skoglund as coauthor of the twenty-fifth anniversary revision of his classic Manual of Worship.
