The objective of this research was to investigate whether the advent of new digital technologies and the advent of distance learning are influencing education, and how this influence improves the quality of teaching/learning. Because we know that the traditional model is very old and few changes have occurred in the last centuries to modernize and improve the quality of education (teaching/learning). To support this work, the bibliography research method was used, and through this research it was observed the thoughts of several authors about the subject "the implementation of new technologies in 21st century education", which is known as the century of the digital technological era. After this research it was possible to observe that there are pros and cons about this paradigm of using technologies in education. The main conclusion of all this work was that by using the traditional method merged with the technological method in teaching/learning, the knowledge will be better absorbed by the students and the quality of education will noticeably improve. Throughout this paper there are arguments that explain how it was possible to reach this conclusion.
