Tiene un doctorado en Cibernética, Estadística e Informática Económica. Es Decana y Jefa del Departamento de ECDL. La profesora adjunta Dra. Claudia Carstea es autora y coautora de 147 publicaciones científicas en libros, revistas y actas de conferencias.
