Born and raised in New Albany, David C. Barksdale is a teacher who serves as the Floyd County Historian and as president of the Floyd County Historical Society. He helped compile Floyd County: The Early Years. Co-author Robyn Davis Sekula is a freelance writer who wrote the Arcadia title St. Joseph: A Postcard History. Until 2003, she worked as a full-time newspaper reporter and editor in the Southeast and Midwest.
