Lt Gen VK Dhir, PVSM, AVSM, Known as Virin Dhir among his friends, he is the former Director-General of EME, Army Headquarters. An alumnus of National Defence College, he has held variety of command and staff appointments. Creativity and originality of thought are his forte'. Indian Army getting its first patent for all terrain vehicle Windy 505 goes to his credit. He sharpened his strategic and tactical skills as Directing Staff at DSSC, Wellington. An electronics engineer (M.Tech) from Cranfield Institute of Technology, U.K, he holds an M Phil degree in Strategic Studies. A prolific writer, he regularly writes in the media. Covid -19 pandemic has acted as the primer for writing this book.
