Autorenporträt
Mariah Clark Skewes, known in her real life as Mary Boyle, loves the out of doors. Whether running on trails, glamping in forests, travelling the world, or caring for her Southdown Babydoll Sheep and Great Pyrenees/Akbash dog, she loves being outside. Her four grown children were raised with many camping experiences, one of them now living in Mammoth Lakes, CA, the setting for this story. Mariah/Mary believes in the healing aspects of interaction with nature and in our responsibility to protect our earth. She has degrees in psychology and special education and worked in public schools as a teacher and administrator for many years. She and her husband live on a vineyard in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California where they grow wine grapes and raise honeybees. When not writing, Mariah/Mary enjoys volunteering as a CASA with children in the foster care system, competing in world marathons and travelling.
