Autorenporträt
Dr. Thamburaj graduated in medicine from Bangalore Medical College in 1977. Following five years with Prof. B. Ramamurthi, a pioneering neurosurgeon, he worked abroad for about 10 years in Dublin and in various centers in England. During his stay in England, he received his FRCS and D.N.B in neurosurgery. He has delivered numerous guest lectures and posters presentations at national and international meetings. His teaching website 'Neurosurgery on the Web' is recommended by the World Federation of Neurosurgeons, the Neurological Society of India, and the Asian Australasian Society of Neurological Surgeons. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Neurology and Stroke. He joined Apollo hospital, Chennai as consultant in 1993 and continues to work there as well as in his parent institution, Dr. Achanta Lakshmipathi Neurosurgical Center, Chennai. He has been actively involved in postgraduate (DNB) training for the past 23 years.
