Valerie Sun is a firm believer in second language education at a young age. She was the first French dual-language immersion teacher at Franklin Magnet School in Glendale, California and continues to support teachers in the district. She founded EmpowerED Consulting to foster collaboration among all dual-language immersion stakeholders across the world. A scholar-practitioner, her research focuses on teachers and teaching practices in language immersion classrooms.
