Therefore, the available information from this book will be helpful for an efficient selection criterion in selecting the most desirable and high yielding genotype of chickpea.

Author is working as Assistant Professor in the department of Botany at Government Akbar Ali College, Ullapara, Sirajgonj, Bangladesh. He completed his M.Sc in Genetics & Breeding from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh in 2001. In year 2015 the University of Rajshahi awarded him Ph.D. in Biometrical Genetics. He was born in 1975.
