There are five gears on the manual shift (first gear, second gear, third gear, fourth gear, and neutral). Depending on the country that the arcade cabinet is located in, the speed will either be measured in kilometres per hour or miles per hour; this is set-up by the arcade operator upon calibration and cannot be altered by the player.
