AUTHOR PROFILE LYNDALL STAVROULyndall runs a small Independent Publishing business established in 2010. After many years in remote locations in the Northern Territory, she now lives in Innisfail, Far North Queensland. She has written and published five children's picture books which celebrate contemporary Indigenous culture: "Baby Bilby and the Wildcat", "Yellow Dog", "Napangardi's Bush Tucker Walk", "Ninu Easter Bilby" and "Warrikirti Christmas Bilby". The stories are entertaining narratives into which Lyndall weaves her knowledge of the Outback environment. Her Illustrators Jann Forge, Jenny Taylor jennytaylor.com.au and Jeni Bullock provide colourful images that support the texts. Lyndall's books are gaining wide recognition. Meeting the strict criteria of earlychildhoodaustralia.org the books are sold in their online shop. The CSIRO also stock Napangardi's Bush Tucker Walk in their online shop. Melbourne University have selected the titles for the Education Library. Charles Darwin University Bookstore stocks the books also. Library Supplier Companies sell Lyndall's books to many libraries and public organisations. Lyndall sells direct to Wildlife parks, Tourist Information Centres, Arts and Culture Centres, good bookshops, some libraries and govt orgs. Also, many private individuals.Additionally, Lyndall has written and published "The Blockie's Kid", a brief childhood memoir in free verse.Lyndall has three children and several grandchildren. She has Indigenous family. Her two daughters in law, Kathy Nakamarra/Warlpiri group (dec.) and Sarah/Warumungu group (dec.). The grandchildren, Warlpiri- Matthew Jungarrayi, Rachael Nungarrayi and Jasmine Nungarrayi. Warumungu - Ezekiel Jampin.
