Hélène Adeline Guerber (1859-1929), better known as H. A. Guerber, was a British historian renowned for her studies of Nordic myths. Her most recognized work is Myths of the Norsemen: From the Eddas and Sagas, published in 1908. Other works by Guerber include The Myths of Greece & Rome, Legends of the Rhine, The Story of the Greeks, The Story of the Romans, Legends of the Middle Ages, and The Story of the Great Republic. Many of these were initially aimed at grammar school children in the 19th century.
