Robert W. Hamblin is Emeritus Professor of English at Southeast Missouri State University, where he taught from 1965 until 2013. He is the founding Director of the Center for Faulkner Studies, established in 1989. He retired in 2013 but continues to work part-time as Assistant Director of the Center. Hamblin directed Faulkner seminars for both the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Missouri Humanities Council.
