This is a book dedicated to the Fleming genealogy line of Robert Fleming the Immigrant from Ireland, Stories about this family and the spirit of these hardy people. Robert Fleming was a honorable member of the Kentucky militia during the war of 1812. He was discharged after the Battle of Thames, in Fort Malden Canada where the Indians and British were defeated. There is a genealogy descendants report and many pictures. The Flemings were very spirited Irish and determined to make a home in the mountains of Virginia and Kentucky. After the war of 1812 the young United States went into a new era called, "The Era of Good Feeling." I am proud of this side of my genealogy as a descendant of William Fleming, the Irishman.
