Willie Wood is a first-time author, born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and currently resides in the Northern Virginia area.In his spare time, Willie is a high school basketball official and has enjoyed refereeing sports for over twenty years. This book was inspired by the joy that he and his family have experienced watching their grandson begin his journey into youth sports.Willie hopes that this book serves as a conversation piece and motivates adults to have helpful conversations with their children about overcoming the fear of their very first game day.He also hopes this book serves as an inspiration to friends and family and reminds them that it is never too late to follow your dreams and continue to set and reach goals.
