When I was 5 years old, I wanted to be a writer. But as I grew up, that changed despite my love to write. As my junior year of high school was coming to a close, I had a change of heart with what I thought I wanted to with my life and it was then that my dad suggested I try to pursue writing. The stories in this collection were written during my teenage years. A lot of the work is "experimental" as I tried to figure what worked and what doesn't in terms of transitions and literary devices. The former taught me to believe in myself to just "just keep swimming."
