A quiet town on the southern Oregon coast becomes the location of a murder-suicide. Or is it? The bodies are mummified and found with no identification. The result-- a forensic puzzle. Detectives Patty O'Toole and Rick Starker are barely into their investigation when a frantic call comes in. A young college student is missing. Is the female corpse that of the student? A diverse group of suspects begins to emerge, and it's learned they are all joined by the same secret. Is it the drugs that bind them, or something far more sinister? Murder Takes All is the fourth book in the O'Toole/Starker Oregon Coast murder mystery series. The characters and the crimes are fictitious, but the places are real. The book includes information about many places in the Pacific northwest. There is no explicit sex nor are there graphic murder scenes. The emphasis is on a great mystery with human interest features such as characters with real life problems, accurate law enforcement procedures, and humor. The first three Oregon Coast O'Toole/Starker murder mysteries were featured in Who's Who/What's What Book Picks for Southern Oregon Magazine. The author receives input from consultants, including a DNA forensic specialist and a retired thirty-year law enforcement officer.
