Compared to other imaging modalities, MRI has become the main diagnostic tool in evaluating brain expanding masses, a careful evaluation bringing the radiologist very close to the identity of the tumor. Especially for the beginner, the plethora of possible sequences to be used and the data they bring can become something of a nightmare and definitely a challenge. The present book tries to take the reader through some of these modalities of imaging brain tumors, explaining by clinical examples the role and utility of the world of MRI sequences. Adressed to the students and residents with an interest in brain tumor diagnostic, the book is not exhaustive, but a tool for understanding how the MRI identifies and differentiates among the numerous pathologicalstructures that one encounters in the medical practice. Assistant Professor of Radiology in the Medical Faculty "L Blaga" of Sibiu, the author is involved both in teaching students and also residents in Radiology.With a certain passion for passing on the knowledge accumulated over 25 years of activity, the author has previously published books and chapters in radiology books in Romania.
