A brash young boy named Moxie and his concerned companion, Mr. Cat, go out one day to fly a kite - Moxie's prized kite, the Apollo Pan. While searching for a good spot to send Pan soaring, a tumble down a hillside places the boy, the kite, and the cat in the perfect meadow - perfect except for one tree... BEWARE! This tree bites kites...to eat!

Autorenporträt
B. E. Exon is a former award-winning elementary school teacher with the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, Wallingford, PA. She has also taught children internationally, from Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, to Ballycastle, County Mayo, Ireland. It was inspiring for "Mrs. X" (as kids like to call her) to discover that children around the world speak a "universal language of love and joy," through play, song, and shared stories. Over the years, B. E. Exon has kept a journal of her own fanciful stories and now, in life's "next chapter," she is excited to share these tales with children of all ages, hoping to add to the JOY! Moxie and the Kite-Bite'n Ash is her first published picture book.
