MOST ADVENTURES WINS? My urge for adventure started early in life right after I was born when Doctor Janowski slapped me to welcome me to a Tom Sawyer style of life that was full of mischief. When I was not fishing on Colquitz Creek, playing the piano at Toronto Conservatory of Music, or being a marksman at a local gun club, I was found playing every sport that came around. At the age of 17, I joined the Royal Canadian Navy to become a physical training instructor, three years later I got out to pursue professional lacrosse in Montreal. The league folded after 2 years and soon after I met an attractive hippy girl who introduced me to an interesting transient way of life which led to 60 incredible (and some death defying) years of adventures while hitch hiking and canoeing around the world.
