The emphasis is put on Non communicable Diseases because these diseases have long incubation period and are mostly diagnosed at a very late stage of the disease mostly with complications.Early detection and timely initiation of the preventive and curative aspects of Diseases provide Healthy Ageing in the community along with a need of an efficient health care delivery system.In order to provide quality health care services to elderly morbidity status of diseases among elderly were needed to be assessed and hence this research work helped establishing a well furnished health care centre with adequate amenities for providing quality health care to the aged.

Dr Gurmeet Kaur has completed her MBBS from SSR Medical College Mauritius and MD COMMUNITY MEDICINE from Subharti Medical College.She is a reviewer of various indexed journals.Her field of interest include epidemiology, Geriatrics, Adolescent Health, Mother and Child Health. Her interest in research and academics led to this book.
