Produktbeschreibung
In this monograph we present evaluatiom data of Greek sweet cherry cultivars tested under field conditions at the Greek Pomology Institute (areas of Naoussa and Skydra). This study deals with all cultivars studied from 1970 till 2012. Starting from 2007, evaluation was also performed in private orchards located nearby of the Intitute's experimental fields. In this monograph we present data of 36 sweet cherry cultivars originated from various regions of Greece and show local or a wider commercial interest or having a breeding interest. These cultivars were selected and evaluated by the Department of Deciduous Fruit Tree Growing in Naoussa and are described for the first time in English language. The description of the cultivars was based on the UPOV guidelines, the European Network of Stone Fruit Genetic Material and the Institute of Cultivar Evaluation of Greece.
