The beforehand work is my PhD thesis submitted to the University Paris-Saclay. The work is intended to explain the relationship between the hemodynamic changes following liver resection and the regeneration. To achieve that understanding, detailed anatomical description of the porcine liver and the related intra-abdominal structures is provided along with a simplified technique for the resection. In addition, we provided a proposal for flow modulation and mathematical models to explain some of the observed changes. The work is done by a large team of researchers including Chloe Audebert, Petru Bucur, Noemie Boissier, Dirk Drasdo, Irene Vingon-Clementel, Eric Vibert and others. I am so grateful to all of them.
