In this book an attempt has been made to calculate the natural frequencies of aerofoil section blades using the finite element method. The effect of varying the aspect ratio and thickness on the frequencies has also been presented. It is observed that by increasing the value of aspect ratio, the natural frequency in all the modes is increased. It is also concluded that, there is some optimum value of thickness at which the natural frequencies in different modes of vibration are minimum.

Dr. Bhandari has extensive industry,teaching & research experience of 17 years in India & outside India(Gulf). His areas of expertise are Machine design, Thermal & Advanced materials(FGM).
