Jim McGarrah is an award-winning poet and essayist whose work appears frequently in various magazines. He has written four books of poetry. The newest, The Truth About Mangoes, was published by Lamar University Press in December, 2016. Misdemeanor Outlaw is his fourth nonfiction book. His memoir, A Temporary Sort of Peace won a national Eric Hoffer Award in 2010.
