>Inspired by real-life Mimi Ausland (founder of freekibble.com) and her special three-legged dog Maty, this is the exciting and much-anticipated second book in the Mimi and Maty series (the recipient of the 2013 Bookies Bravo Award given to books with positive impact by Milk + Bookies). Mimi's dedication to helping animals--and her meticulous detective skills--are sure to inspire young animal lovers and budding private eyes of all ages! Sky Pony Press, with our Good Books, Racehorse and Arcade imprints, is proud to publish a broad range of books for young readers--picture books for small children, chapter books, books for middle grade readers, and novels for young adults. Our list includes bestsellers for children who love to play Minecraft; stories told with LEGO bricks; books that teach lessons about tolerance, patience, and the environment, and much more. While not every title we publish becomes a New York Times bestseller or a national bestseller, we are committed to books on subjects that are sometimes overlooked and to authors whose work might not otherwise find a home.
Autorenporträt
Brooke Smith is Mimi's mom. A designer and writer, she started the Mimi and Maty series to reflect Mimi's big heart and all the fun she has helping animals. Smith lives with her husband, daughter, and many pets. Alli Arnold is never without a pen and paper. Her first illustration was published when she was just seven years old, and she has gone on to illustrate for such clients as the New York Times, Bergdorf Goodman, and Tiffany & Co. Alli's little dog, Nino, likes to chase pigeons and squirrels. To see more of Alli's drawings, visit www.alliarnold.com.
