After thirty-eight years in television, working on more than one thousand Outside Broadcasts, Mike Humphry has many memories. Most good, some not so good. Some are still in sharp focus and some merge into the fog of the past. In this book he shares some of those memories, including memories of his life with his wife and family, and years spent on a farm.

Autorenporträt
Mike Humphry grew up in Perth, the middle son of Flora and Edward Humphry. The family lived near the Swan River and took full advantage of it, especially in the summer. Educated at Nedlands' Primary School, Mike finished his schooling at John Curtin High School in Fremantle. His major interest lay in Science and Technology. After a short spell with a telephone company, Mike was lucky enough to get a job with TVW Channel 7, in 1964. Seven years later he found himself at SAS Channel 10 to assist in the handover of an Outside Broadcast van. He was told to "stay as long as necessary". He left SAS on his retirement in 2001, taking with him a host of memories. Mike lives in Adelaide with his wife, Margie. They have two sons and two granddaughters. Sharing memories has been something Mike has done since his early years.
