Tommy was left to die there but Mia comes just in the nick of time and helps him out of the chest. The adventure then is to trick the pirates into letting them off the ship onto dry land. EPILOUGE It is 70 years later and Tommy is now Grandfather Thomas. He asks his grown grandsons to build a ship. Grandfather Thomas doesn't even know why. He doesn't know because Mia put a cloud of forgetfulness on his mind when he found his family. She wanted him to forget her so he would be able to be with his family and have a happy life. But something tugs at his heart. He knows that this ship will take him to some place where the cloud of forgetfulness will leave his mind and he will regain what was lost from his memory and his heart.

Beverly Fearon grew up in a large family on a farm in the middle of California. She loved to play with her sisters but she had to spend a lot of time in the hospital. This is where she learned to use her imagination. As she grew she made up stories for her own children. Then she made up stories for her grandchildren. Then she decided to try and make these stories into real books for other children to read. She still has to spend time in the hospital but she uses the time to make up even more stories in hopes that those stories will make many children happy all over the world when they are made into books.
