Catherine Campanella, a nearly lifelong resident of Metairie, has compiled this pictorial history of her community with a bow to Monsignor Henry C. Bezou, whose 1973 publication of Metairie: A Tongue of Land to Pasture precedes the work here. Her first book, Images of America: Lake Pontchartrain, was published by Arcadia in April 2007.
