Janne Holmén is Associate Professor of History of Education at Uppsala University, Sweden, and researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History, Södertörn University, Sweden. His research focuses on comparative studies in educational history, with an emphasis on the Nordic countries. He has published studies on mental maps and historical consciousness. Norbert Götz is Professor at the Institute of Contemporary History, Södertörn University, Sweden. His research interests include spaces of civil society, humanitarianism, international relations, social transformations, populism, and moral economy.
