Madeline Faiella is an artist, illustrator and designer who lives in SOFLO (South Florida) where she works from her home studio. She is the creator of Maddy's Girlz(TM) a group of snarky, curvy, sassy and classy ladies of a certain age. They are today's "certain age" where sharp wit and business is at the top of their scope and they present like powerhouses. A true creative she has bridged herself from singing, fine art, craftsman to art licensing and back. She uses PhotoShop and Adobe Illustrator in most of her work adding digital to organic drawing and graphics. Her first coloring book is by her explanation, "The opportunity for Men and Women to give themselves permission to color". "I thought I'd see if I could help offer a permission slip for Men to join in the fun too. It's so important to relax." Madeline is a member of Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) where she serves on the Trends Team for Surface Design. She is a member of The Broward County Art Guild, Art Serve of Broward County, The Art Licensing Show and other organizations. She studied at School of Visual Arts (SVA) in Manhattan. Madeline has been featured in publications including Totally Creative, Arts & Crafts and Bella Craft Quarterly. She has also been featured for Whimsical Art with Artsy Shark. She is mentioned as one of the top illustrators in her local area by Thumbtack. She has appeared on TV giving step by step instruction for high end projects for craftsman and holds a spot in UpperCase Magazine's 2016 Coloring Calendar. She has written columns and articles for the creative industry since 2004. They include everything from how to, what to, what is and communication. She's traversed the globe during a 23 year singing career living the last 10 of those years performing in Europe, Asia, and the Netherlands. The colors she uses are a mixture of her heritage and her absorption of these travels. She has mentored a number of people with their art careers and is a big fan of giving back. She has donated a number of her images to a mental health agency and believes helping others is the key to success. Her background is Italian and Sicilian. Her Father made it perfectly clear that there was a difference. She laughs. Madeline enjoys a good laugh and doesn't hide it. "Expression is my heartbeat".
