Extensive analyses of spectroscopic data of the isolated metabolites, notably high field NMR and mass spectrometry, allowed complete and unambiguous structural characterization of twelve compounds belonging to alkaloids, coumarins, limonoids and steroids. Moreover, the antimicrobial, cytotoxic and free radical scavenging activities of the plant extractives have also been highlighted. It is hoped that this book would be a useful guide to the students of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Botany, Microbiology and Traditional Systems of Medicines.
