Throughout her youth and young adult life she has been soul-inspired by Maya Angelo as well as other inspiring authors. As an inspiring upcoming novelist herself she reaches out to troubled youth in her community to be a mentor to them. Zyi believes life is a mystery to be revealed in its own time.
