Now a days, Marine propeller is one of the dominant noise sources of marine vehicle. There are number of books to design and analysis of marine propellers. However, this book identifies the role of propellers due to the nature of water involved in the process and modification of design process and producing the radiated noise which tends to cavitating or non-cavitating noise. This book deals with the modelling and analysis of propellers for reducing the noise levels underwater. The mechanical design of propeller is critical in marine and aero industrial applications. Basically the book is based on standard marine propellers which are used in Naval applications. The propeller models has to be analytically optimized to the maximum extents. Reduction of radiated noise is considered important for stealth requirements as it affects the performance of hydro-acoustic systems.
