Tiburon-based historian (and two-time mayor of that city) Branwell Fanning presents here images of Marin County's journey through time, drawing from his private collection as well as from the archives of the Marin History Museum. Including early views of Marin's settlers, lumber operations, shipbuilding enterprises, and agriculture, this volume of photographs encapsulate the knowledge of a seasoned historian who has also authored Arcadia's Images of America: The Tiburon Peninsula and coauthored Angel Island to date. This unique collection provides a fresh look at an old county, which has changed dramatically since the early Spanish explorers first sailed into Richardson Bay.
