It is indicating that, since civilization period to Indian independence Indian agriculture is focused on food crops. After implementation of Green revolution during 1960's and1970's, Indian agriculture encountered tremendous changes and improvements in facilitation of Irrigation, Mechanization, Fertilization & Pesticidation, Micro-Irrigation, Transport, Market agriculture loans etc. in this endeavor, remarkable changes in farmers attitude of cropping pattern had been noticed. Majority of farmers have shifted from subsistence agriculture (food crops) to commercial (cash crops) agriculture by using mechanization and modern facilities in Irrigation.
