Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) is a whitefly transmitted geminivirus. It is a severe problem for tomato cultivation specially in the tropical and subtropical region. Symptoms of TYLCV include stunting, curling, cupping, marginal chlorosis of leaves, reduced leaf size and lower number of fruits. Yield loss due to TYLCV can be as high as 100% depending on variety, season and number of viruliferous vectors. Different methods are available to manage the disease but dependence on a single method is vulnerable to failure. Therefore, an integrated approach is needed to manage the disease. Integration of polyethylene mulch, time of planting, netting in the seed bed, spraying of vegetable oils and trap crops caused significant reduction of the disease in the field. This book will be helpful to the researchers, plant pathologists, students and agricultural extension workers.
