The surplus, if any, is distributed among all the factors of production in a fair proportion. Further, a co-operative society is an embodiment of complete amalgamation of interest of its workers, employers, consumers and producers. This harmonization of interests leads to mutually beneficial policies in a private enterprise; the institutions close their doors to new members after the business gets going, whereas a co-operative society keeps its doors always open to qualified persons. Co-operatives are in a better position than the public and private enterprises, to know the grievances of their customers and in finding a method to redress those grievances (1).
