Dr. UmmeSalma Mujtaba Husein is currently employed with Heriot Watt University where she is actively involved in both teaching and research. She is a fellow of Higher Education Academy, United Kingdom. In a career spanning over 11 years, she has been involved within the industry as a start-up consultant and advising entrepreneurs. She has been part of advisory committees and is a regular reviewer with international journals and conferences.
