With the help of his village friends, he climbs the taller boys' shoulders to reach hanging butter pots to sneak a taste - but this time, he's been caught! Little Krishna sees how far his charm can get him when Maiyya has found the butter thief.

Autorenporträt
Chaya was raised in Maryland, speaking English and Konkani, but unable to comprehend the beautiful Marathi, Hindi and Kannada bhajans that filled her home. Her father, Dr. C.R.V. Kamath had a huge impact for next generation Hindu Americans by helping found the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Pittsburgh. With this book, Chaya hopes to continue her dad's legacy in some small way and help her own little California boys understand their favorite bhajan (Maiyya Mori). Chaya and her husband Ashwin are now raising their mischievous little boys in the D.C. Area. When she isn't Amma-ing (or Maiyya-ing), Chaya loves re-watching TV shows, lawyering, dancing, painting, crafting, reading and competing in pub trivia.
