Autorenporträt
Leon Erickson son of Art and Bertha (inle), is of the Lhoh Ja Bou (Bear) clan of Nak'azdli Whut'en in Fort St. James, British Columbia. He grew up as one of eleven kids and is now a father to six. He is vice principal at an Indigenous Choice School and a graduate of the University of Northern British Columbia, where he was awarded the Lieutenant Governor's Silver Medal. Leon has a master's in educational leadership from Vancouver Island University. Michelle Simpson is a professional illustrator. She has illustrated more than twenty children's books, including The Dancing Trees, I Can See You and the Jordan and Max series. Michelle has also worked as a concept artist for the animated television series Ollie! The Boy Who Became What He Ate (season two) and Tee and Mo (season one). Michelle studied her craft at Sheridan College and holds a BAA in illustration. She lives in Niagara Falls, Ontario
