Produktbeschreibung
From the author of Baby, a slow-burning psychological novel about a young wife dangerously obsessed with her husband's criminal nephew. Marrying Wayne is the radical act of Eve's life. Rejecting her city upbringing, she quits her job and moves to his farm in the remote New Zealand countryside. Wayne's success and social standing means she can have anything she wants--but what does Eve want? She isn't sure. Embracing her role as a farmer's wife, she tends the garden, cooks for her husband, arranges their social life, and judges the local future-homemaker awards, but something is missing. She craves excitement. Be careful what you wish for, Eve ... When Wayne's nephew Luke gets out of prison and comes to work on the farm, Eve's seemingly idyllic life is upended, and she finds herself drawn into a dangerous psychological game that will force her to decide who she really is and what she really wants.
