Promises broken. Hearts shattered. Will there be a second chance ... Back in high school, Lucas thought they were just good friends. Emily wondered when he'd finally kiss her. Thirteen years later they meet again. Now he's a high-flying celebrity chef and TV personality. She's a down-on-her-luck food and lifestyle writer. She'd rather avoid the handsome and charming man who broke her heart. Lucas is sure it was Emily who deserted him, but he badly needs her help. It's just business, not personal. Or is it? They meet again and clash at a wedding. But will they come together over 80 shared fish dinners? And what about dessert? Is 'old friends' all they can ever be? Or could there be something more delicious on the menu for these two... Find out in Look Into Your Heart, a sweet and swoon-worthy second-chance-at-love contemporary romance with plenty of banter, good-hearted humor, three sweet dogs and a happy ending. First in the heartwarming NEW North of Boston Series.
Autorenporträt
Jacquelyn Johnson writes the kind of stories for girls she wishes were available when she was 11 or 12. "It's such a vivid time of discovery, especially about who you are and how you can shine in the world," she says. "It's the time when you first find your own true voice, and how to use it. That's what this series is all about." Following careers as a teacher, journalist and magazine editor, she 'retired' to her first love, writing novels. She lives with her family in a small village near the sea not unlike Seabright, with a little cat surprisingly similar to Morley's Feather.
